Golconda Fort

Last month end me and jags been to hyd. shot few roll in Charminar and Golconda Fort.. I'ill post thme now on..

I shot 2 B&W rolls and I tried slide for the first time.. After dev d rolls I liked the snaps shot using slide, I got b'full sky.. and most of them are very bright or very dark. I guess I need to learn more abt meatering.

In Hyd, most of places(like charminar, golconda) they dont allow tripod;( To use tripod u need to get some permission itseems.. I dont know wats the prob in using tripod!

it's my first slide roll.. I really dont know why it's green.. I shot this with flash(built-in) cld it b becoz of that??

yes, the green looks pretty unnatural but the composition is good beyond doubt. when you include the sky in your pictures the metering can get quite tricky simply because the sky is too bright with respect to your subject. now you have the decide if you need the drama on the sky or rather prefer the details of your monument. partial meter accordingly. another alternative would be to use a polariser if shooting on colour (to retain the 'blues' of the sky), or a yellow or red filter if shooting with black and whites. by the way, i am curious to know which slides you were shooting on...

Thanks Sundar, Vivek

even I dont know why it's green.. I cldn't use tripod so I used flash there to avoid camera shake.. cld it be bcoz of that?

When I was shooting sky was lill bright n cloudy, I guess tats y it's very bright ;(

I need a buy polarizer n red filter..

I guess with slide it might take some time to meter properly!

thanks to Kousik, he only asked meto move onto slides ;)

I used Kodak 100.. Shd I try any other slides? Which 1 do u use?

Very good shot satz. The L formed is beautiful. Tried taking it in B&W? I like to click shadowplays using b&w. Regarding tripod, it is really a funny rule, dunno what makes them make such rules.....
