The first eyecatching element of your pic - are the presence of FIVE distinct colours, though the BG blue is beautifully neglected. I would say the object is slightly out of focus ! Satish, u r lucky, you got a pic of R.Tern in breeding plumage, otherwise the bird would have been plain half white ! Congrats !

cool one man, as you have seen unfortunately all my pictures came very very dark, extremely unfit to post them. I suspect it might the hood which caused the problem :(
regarding river tern, is this the same bird which lays eggs in open?

Yes (Srikanth), its nest is a shallo scrape on the bare sand and eggs with variable coloration - greenish grey and purple blotches on it! - Iam sorry but ive to write this info here; and the kite in your blog was a brahminy kite (its color is different just becos of the twilight hours) Cheers and ciao !

I'll tell you an interesting fact about this guy. This river tern pair is the most shot wildlife individual in the world. Every year, several hundred rolls are exposed only on them.

Good shot.
