I think the lack of sharpness is because the heavy pod was hanging from a thin stick. A very little breeze will shake it. Moreover, you can't hold it, as your body shake will also get magnified and contribute to the shake. You must setup tripod and wait for a stall in breeze (ask your friends to stand in the way of the breeze). It is a tough shot, and I like the result.
@Suyog, @Sudu, @Vinu: Thanks.. few months back I lost my tripod in a auto from then I missed lots of shots.. I dont hav steady hands :-(
@Kousik: ya thats true.. light breeze wld screw up the macro shots.. some times I waited for 10 mins after some i give up shooting some macros.. here i shot this with handheld.. I guess there was no breeze, I shd go for a tripod :-)
