Silent Valley



I was there couple of weekends back. It's a b'ful dense forest.. We cldn't trek in the main trek route.. shd go there again ;)

Silent Valley is one hell of a great place. I have been there a few years back, and promised to myself that I'll go back there soon. Fantastic bird and insect life I had seen. Best part was to spend the night in one of the forest dept's room near the top ...

I'm sure you got lotsa shots from there.

It's an amazing place for bird watchers.. lots n lots of birds. I shot few with my 300 mm. I dont know the name of the birds.. and there were lots of b'ful butterflies but they were keep moving I cld shoot only one ;(..
and I was with trekkers so cldn't shoot much macros.. anyways I wld go agian there ;)

Hey... Where is this? more details please. BTW, just bought a Quantaray 70-300 and its great. Am sure you will enjoy seeing it. Can you send me more info on what settings you used when you shot the Silent Valley?

Its n Kerala near palkad town.. It's a b'ful place ;)

tats cool 300mm wld be usefull.. even I got Nikkor 300mm ;)
I didn't note the settings dude.. but I used aperture-priority mode..
