Good shot Satz, it is acshually, Great Egret - the intermediate ad Great egret can be confusible unless seen together- but if u notice carefully- the black gape line (under the eye) doesnt extend beyond eye in Intermediate egret. Thus your pic shows a Great Egret!!! In addition, the shank would be slightly purplish red for L.egret and the neck loop will be large for the L. egret -though the first one abt the eye is the real KEY -congrats on a good shot!
hey sorry - Correct L.egret for Great Egret, it was a typo error; btw, intermediate=median !!! I think this fellow/fellee is enteringexiting breeding period... there are breeding plumes on its rump ! Nice shot - light
